Last Night of the Cornish Proms 2025

Camborne Town Band was delighted to perform at Truro Cathedral on Saturday evening as part of the Last Night of the Cornish Proms. The concert brought together an impressive line-up of musical talent, including the City of Truro Male Choir, Ben Hoadley, Milly Churcher, and Martin Palmer. The band also featured its own soloist, John Hitchens, who delivered a standout performance on Solo Euphonium.

The programme showcased a wide range of repertoire, with music by Carl Wittrock, John Williams, Richard Strauss, and our own Dr Gareth Churcher, among many others. The evening’s atmosphere was enhanced by the cathedral’s stunning acoustics and a supportive audience whose enthusiasm, singing, and flag-waving added to the occasion.

We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who contributed to the event’s success — the cathedral team, fellow performers, soloists, volunteers, and technical crew. Your support and collaboration made the night truly memorable.

We are already looking forward to returning next year.
