West of England Regional Championships

On Sunday 9th March, the band competed in the Championship Section at the West of England Regional Championships.

The band came away with 5th place, and whilst not the result we had hoped for, we are still proud of the performance we gave, and know we have much to work on moving forwards!

A massive congratulations to everyone at Aldbourne Band for once again lifting the title, and also to Flowers Band and St Dennis Band – Cornwall for their podium finishes!

It was also brilliant to see THREE Cornish bands winning their sections weekend – well done to Roche Brass, Porthleven Town Band, and Illogan Sparnon Silver Band! It’s so refreshing to see how Cornish banding is thriving!

A massive thank you must go to our musical director, Gareth Churcher, for all the hours of hard work put in not only in the bandroom, but behind the scenes too.

And finally, thank you to the members of the WEBBA Organisation, without whom the contest wouldn’t have run as smoothly as it did – once again a great event!
