SWBBA Champions 2025

Camborne Town Band is proud to announce its victory in the Open Section (Championship and First Section) at the South West Brass Band Association Annual Championships 2025. The band delivered a vibrant and engaging performance of Thierry Deleruyelle’s Crazy Twenties, showcasing both musical precision and character.

The day was made even more special as our principal cornet, Lia Teague, was awarded Best Cornet, recognising her outstanding contribution and musicianship.

Although travel arrangements meant the full band could not remain for the results ceremony, a number of players were able to stay and represent the band as the prizes were announced.

We extend our sincere thanks to our Musical Director, Dr Gareth Churcher, whose dedication and preparation were instrumental to the success of the performance. His work both in rehearsals and behind the scenes continues to drive the band forward.

We are also grateful for the warm support shown by the audience, as well as to the organisers of the event for delivering another well-run and enjoyable contest.

Camborne Town Band also congratulates the other section winners: Pendennis Brass, St Pinnock, St Austell Youth, and South Molton Training.
